Update: Wise Welcomes Two New Board Members

Wise are delighted to announce the growth of our Board of Directors, welcoming two new strategic leaders to the team. Our newly promoted Director of Events and Director of Marketing & Partnerships bring a wealth of experience to the Wise boardroom. With the addition of their diverse expertise and innovative contributions, Wise is even better poised to reach new event production heights!

George Foden, Managing Director, comments on the update: “I am delighted Lizzie and Jade have joined the Board of Directors at Wise. Since our transition to employee-ownership just over a year ago, the company has achieved significant growth in a challenging economic climate, and Lizzie and Jade have both played a pivotal role in that success. As we look to build on that momentum through 2024 and beyond, I am excited to see what they will achieve next in their new leadership roles. I am also proud to lead a Board of Directors that is gender-balanced, reflecting our commitment to the promotion of inclusivity and gender equality in our sector.”

Director of Events: Lizzie Bishop

Lizzie boasts 11 years in the events industry, beginning as an Events Assistant at Wise straight out of university. Besides her extensive knowledge of UVL venues, she has delivered epic corporate and international gatherings, high-net-worth functions, and exquisite weddings. Lizzie’s career is defined by a commitment to excellence and a knack for transforming spaces into unforgettable events for all of her clients. She has and continues to be a cornerstone of Wise’s success!

“I am beyond delighted to be joining the board at Wise as Director of Events. I started my career at Wise in 2013 as an Events Assistant, fresh out of university with a desire to learn as much as possible about the wonderful world of events. Since day one, Wise has unwaveringly supported my career growth and I was delighted to re-join the team in October 2022 as Head of Events. As I join the board, I am excited to use my knowledge of the sector to sustainably drive our growth, branching out into new markets whilst ensuring we maintain the quality and service Wise have built their reputation on. I am incredibly grateful to George Foden, David Wise and many of the Wise team who I have worked alongside for the last decade, I am unbelievably proud to be part of the Wise family.”

Director of Marketing & Partnerships: Jade Thatcher

During her 13-years’ experience in the events industry, Jade has worked across venue leadership, marketing, sales, operations and business development, also fulfilling a period on the UVL Board. She moved over to event production in 2018, and eventually joined Wise in 2022, after delivering some of the most high-profile events in London. With a career marked by versatility and commercial success, Jade continues to be a driving force in the industry, leaving an indelible mark on everything she delivers!
