London is home to some of the world’s most prestigious venues and landmark locations. The City is a hub of daily activity, playing host to opulent and luxurious events in every gallery, museum and institution. But none more extravagant than that of the Coronation of King Charles III.
A Royal Welcome: The Londoner

The Londoner Hotel provided a boutique location in the heart of the West End for the duration of guests’ stay. On the first evening, the hotel’s Shima Garden rooftop bar played backdrop to a welcome reception featuring spectacular entertainment from the talented Juke Joints by ALR music. Wise’s ambient lighting and state of the art PA system perfectly complemented the celebrations by seamlessly camouflaging into the background of the venue, later transforming the space into a lively dance floor with the addition of a sleek DJ booth.

Coronation Eve Dinner: Claridge’s

The following day guests were treated like royalty at Claridge’s hotel for a Coronation Eve Dinner.  Taking centre stage during the reception was a St. Edward’s Crown inspired bar, curated specifically for the event by Sarah and her creative team. At an impressive 3m in diameter and 3.6m tall, Wise’s in-house creative team used visual prompts from Neill Strain Floral Couture to create the shape and construction of the feature bar. Our Wise Guys installed the structure onsite, which was flawlessly dressed by Neill Strain’s talented team with seasonal flowers and British foliage. Inspired by British folklore and symbolising spring and rebirth, the floral design featured a range of emblematic flowers including Daffodils, Thistle, red Roses and Clover. Bespoke British luxury at it’s very best!

On to dinner, a bespoke 54ft copper mirror tabletop was expertly matched to original details of the Art Deco banquet location. Beautifully decked with floral couture and exquisite details, this cohesive design was seamlessly continued throughout the venue and was emulated on the entertainment staging in the adjoining room, which, decked with mirror balls and a live band from ALR, translated into the perfect after party. As always, our Wise Guys’ creative excellence and technical know-how transformed each space to narrate Sarah’s envisioned story in anticipation of the Coronation’s grandeur.

The Finale: Royal Academy of Arts

For the Coronation Experience finale, guests were wined and dined at The Royal Academy of Arts on the day of the King’s crowning. The colour palette for the evening was thoughtfully selected by Neill Strain and his team, with subdued yet rich tones of Burgundy, Red Wine, Toffee, Tangerine, Sage and Turquoise taken from Da Vinci’s Last Supper painting.

Wise created two bespoke bars to compliment the ornate and regal feel of the space, bringing Sarah and Neill’s vision of a sumptuous Tuscan Winery to life through expert design and craftsmanship. A green marble bar matched the venue’s furniture, with a red velvet bar providing a level of opulence and sophistication worthy of the occasion. Performances by ALR Music’s opera singer, string quartet, and harpist were supported by a carefully chosen PA system and provided entertainment throughout the evening.

One of the evening’s highlights was Bubble Food’s extraordinary immersive dessert, a framed replica of the renowned Last Supper painting that provided the backdrop to the lavish dinner. Guests pierced their edible paintings to reveal a delectable dessert hidden underneath – a truly unique moment of culinary artistry that perfectly captured the sumptuousness of the event.
