Two of London’s most distinctive event spaces — 3 Hanover Square and The Stables — take centre stage as we uncover what make these Unit X venues so unique. We spoke with Pablo Gitton, Unit X Event Executive, to learn how their spaces inspire unforgettable experiences and continue raising the bar for extraordinary events.
“Each space is versatile enough to bring any creative vision to life, while retaining a strong sense of identity and style.”
What sets 3 Hanover Square and The Stables apart in London’s events scene?

Both venues combine distinctive character with exceptional flexibility.

3 Hanover Square is a contemporary Mayfair gallery where ever-changing art provides a dynamic and sophisticated backdrop for events. The Stables, by contrast, is a Grade II listed building with exposed brickwork and barrelled ceilings, offering heritage and atmosphere in the heart of London’s cultural quarter.

What was the original vision for the Unit X spaces, and how has that evolved to meet the needs of today’s high-end events?

The goal was always to create inspiring, cultural venues that went beyond the typical “blank white box.”

Over time, this vision has evolved to focus even more on flexibility, sustainability, and technical readiness, ensuring the spaces can host everything from product launches to fashion shows — all while preserving their unique character.

What defining detail or hidden gem do guests often miss, but which captures the essence of each space?

At 3 Hanover Square, it’s the ever-changing exhibitions. No two events are ever the same, giving clients a fresh, conversation-sparking backdrop every time.

At The Stables, it’s the creative freedom the space affords. With its versatile layout and blank-canvas character, clients can truly transform it into something unique – from immersive brand activations to elegant private dining – making each event a one-of-a-kind experience

What’s your approach to creating a truly bespoke experience for every event?

It all begins with a conversation.

Each proposal is crafted around the client’s specific vision and priorities, never a one-size-fits-all template. From there, the Unit X team collaborates with trusted suppliers to layer in production, catering, and design details.

Because both venues operate on a dry hire basis, no two events are ever alike. Clients have complete freedom to shape the space, supported by Unit X’s expertise and network of partners.

Can you share an example of a recent event that highlights the venue’s versatility?

At 3 Hanover Square we had the pleasure of hosting Penhaligon’s 155th Birthday over both gallery floors.

  • The Ground Floor showcased their archive bottles within a custom built display case.
  • The Lower Gallery floor was transformed into a cosy lounge area where guests could flick through branded books on display.

At The Stables, the Ferrari F1 racing team collaborated with a leading lifestyle beverage brand to deliver an unforgettable brand activation:

  • The Courtyard provided a dramatic arrival experience with built-in photo opportunities alongside food & seating for guests.
  • The Ground Floor Gallery hosted the exhibition, with an authentic F1 car as the showpiece.
  • The Lower Gallery was curated as an immersive press lounge & workshop space.
“Our top priorities are flexibility, memorability and location.”
What do clients tend to highlight most when reflecting on their experience?

Clients regularly mention the“wow factor” their guests feel the moment they arrive.

They value the creativity the spaces inspire and the flexibility which allows them to bring their visions to life. Alongside this, our clients appreciate the contrast with more traditional corporate venues, and the collaborative, supportive approach of the Unit X team.

What client expectations are shaping events today, and how do your venues rise to the challenge?

Clients are looking for spaces that can adapt seamlessly throughout the day while delivering a distinctive experience that leaves a lasting impression. With venues in Mayfair and Covent Garden, Unit X offers desirable central London locations with high footfall, ensuring both convenience and visibility for events.

With suppliers playing such a key role, what does collaboration with partners like Wise Productions look like in practice?

Suppliers are treated as creative collaborators, not just service providers.

Wise Productions’ technical expertise — from lighting and AV to bespoke creative and design — helps bring ambitious ideas to life, while Unit X provides the inspiring canvas. Together, we ensure events run seamlessly and effortlessly for our clients.

Looking to the future, what developments or changes do you anticipate for the venues in the next 12–18 months?

Unit X is focused on cementing its reputation as London’s go-to destination for experiential, creative events.

Plans include continued investment in technology and infrastructure, expanding sustainability initiatives, and hosting showcase events designed to spark inspiration for future clients.

What’s the one project you’d love to bring to life in these venues?

The team’s dream is to collaborate with a leading cultural or tech brand on an immersive launch that pushes creative boundaries.

Imagine 3 Hanover Square’s galleries transformed into a living digital canvas, or The Stables reimagined as a multi-sensory journey — the kind of event guests talk about long after it’s over.
