Housed in a grand 18th-century townhouse in the heart of Marylebone, it’s home to one of the finest private art collections ever assembled, built across five generations by a single family, and displayed today exactly as it was always intended to be seen. As a setting for events, it offers something rare: the sense that you’re stepping into living history.
The Wallace Collection was once at the centre of London’s high society, and that spirit of elegance and celebration has never really left. Every event held here becomes part of that celebratory legacy.
The standout space is the Courtyard. Originally an open sculpture garden, it now sits beneath a striking glass roof that floods the space with natural light during the day. By evening, the atmospheric lighting and bespoke production turn it into an intimate yet striking space for dinners, receptions and everything in between. Up to 300 guests for a standing reception, 160 for a seated dinner, and a backdrop that does a great deal of the talking!
As a dedicated production partner, it’s a space that invites us to be considered and creative in equal measure. The collection is precious, the architecture is distinctive, and the best events here are the ones that work with both, using light, sound, and design to elevate the space rather than compete with it. The Wallace Collection team collaborate closely with production partners to ensure every detail is handled with the care the venue deserves.
We asked the team at The Wallace Collection to describe the experience of hosting an event there in just three words. Their answer says it all:
“Unique, elegant, inspiring.” – Josephine Gilbert: Senior Events Manager
